WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
Working with Katie took my grad school audition package to the next level! I came to her in a panic after audition season notes and too many ‘almosts’ left my pieces feeling as chaotic as my spirit. She fostered a safe space for me to play, and reignited my work with a deep joy I didn’t know I had forgotten. She helped me gain control while simultaneously specifying my choices and catapulting them to life. An auditor called my Shakespeare piece “one for the ages” and I credit that to Katie. She redirected my audition anxiety with a careful frankness, and left me with a new sense of inspiration and power. I can say without hesitation, I would not have been accepted to graduate school if it were not for her guidance. I am forever grateful.

My monologue classes with Katie were the best thing that happened to me during the Pandemic. Across the screen she did the magic to make me feel listened, guided, and inspired. She taught me how to explore my little bedroom as a creative tool instead of something that quarantined me in the moment. She encouraged me to interpret distinctive characters that are challenging, like King Lear. When she gave me instructions, I never felt lectured. I felt safe enough to make my own choices. She was both playful and professional; she’s so genuine. In all, her support made my MFA application process a million times more fun and a million times less scary, and I’m so grateful.

I cannot recommend Katie’s coaching highly enough! She was so encouraging and so honest in her coaching. She gave me the confidence to walk into an audition room and know I could crush it, while also giving me constructive feedback to make my audition the best it could be. Katie is a fantastic listener. I was so nervous about so many different aspects of the whole process and she guided me through each moment with the patience of an experienced teacher. She also asked amazingly poignant questions to encourage me to make educated decisions about characters, pieces, and even outfits, for myself! Katie’s Shakespeare direction was especially invaluable. She has a clear passion for Shakespeare and it is contagious! Katie pushed me to delve deeper into the character I had chosen, and to embrace all the language that Shakespeare has given us, from powerful words to delicious consonants and vowels! Katie was a truly amazing coach and I cannot thank her enough for all her help during this wild time! -- -

Katie is sensational. She's down to earth but focused and she pushes you to limits you didn't think you had. I'd send seasoned pros her way as quickly as I'd send newcomers. If you want to play the hardest parts in the Western canon, hit her up.

If you’re looking for a down to Earth coach that will help you deepen your monologues and showcase your most dynamic self, look no further than Katie. Katie’s coaching helped me expand my monologue choices, the emotional journey of my characters, and helped me learn new tips and tricks in the actual audition room. Katie’s guidance showed me things that I would not have even thought about otherwise. And I believe those new skills helped captivate the audiences at my grad school auditions. I am very confident in saying that she is a big reason why I was accepted to University of Nevada Las Vegas.

The best part of working with Katie as a coach is that she reminds you that your best way into the work is through yourself— that there is no trick to acting. Katie’s coaching is somehow both practical and actionable, and personalized to the actor. She’s well versed in dozens of methods, but is quick to dismiss anything that isn’t serving you. Katie is undoubtedly on the side of the actor at all times. Her own versatility as an actor makes her the perfect coach for any material. Her mastery of Shakespeare texts equipped me with two classical texts that led me through MFA auditions, while her commercial knowledge landed me a commercial agent during the pandemic. There’s no one I trust more when preparing for an audition.

Katie is an ideal dialect coach. She's patient, encouraging, funny, and has a wealth of knowledge! My work improved significantly because of her amazing attention to detail. And with her incredible work and experience as an actress, she's able to break things down in a way that helps me find an honest and authentic voice for my character. Katie has become crucial to my dialect studies and it's truly a joy to work with her!

What I love most about working with Katie is how you can see her investment in your success is not superficial. She will make sure you have the tools you need to feel your most confident going into an audition! Her abilities in coaching dialect are rooted in a very deep understanding of technique and personal experience. She takes you through step by step so the mechanics of the accent don’t become overwhelming, and gives you tools you may need for continuing practice on your own. I find it very helpful, too, that she can offer acting direction, because intentions in a scene can affect the way you say your words and subsequently how you use the dialect. She gives very well rounded guidance, which left me feeling very confident in my abilities after having walked in totally overwhelmed by a new accent!

Katie is a wonderful acting coach. Several different people recommended her for Shakespeare auditions, and we couldn't be more pleased with her work. Katie helps break down scenes, characters and motivation in a way my son (age 13) can easily relate to -- no easy feat when you're dealing with the Bard! We couldn't be more pleased with Katie's coaching and highly recommend her.
